International Academic School (IAS), located in the Al Warqa Area of Dubai, UAE, is a private school established in September 2006. The school started with 50 students only, and it is now benefiting 1500 students from different nationalities in their career perspectives. It offers an American curriculum from K to Grade 12 as well as a variety of career readiness electives and programs. Since its acquisition by the Athena Education Group in December 2018, IAS has continued to flourish as a well-established institution serving both local and expatriate students. In its 19th year of operation, IAS provides a comprehensive educational experience, blending a robust American curriculum based on the State of California Content Standards with the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum for subjects taught in Arabic. IAS undergoes regular inspections by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), ensuring compliance with the UAE Inspection Framework and a commitment to continuous improvement. 
 
Programs Offered 

IAS offers an American curriculum that emphasizes rigorous academic standards, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The curriculum includes: 

• Core Subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, aligned with California Content Standards. 
• Arabic Language Studies: Following the UAE Ministry of Education curriculum, ensuring cultural and linguistic fluency. 
• Islamic Studies: Taught in accordance with UAE Ministry guidelines for Muslim students. 
• Specialist Subjects: Art, Physical Education, and ICT (Information and Communication Technology). 
• Advanced Placement Courses: Taught in line with the AP curriculum expectations as outlined by the College Board, IAS offers the following courses in Grades 11 and 12: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Computer Science, AP Language and Composition and AP Psychology.
